In 1990, Coulson’s Automotive recognized a need for an auto management system to assist in the day to day operation of their business. In searching for a system, they found only complicated programs designed for the larger auto service outlet.

An idea was conceived to create a system designed specifically for the small to medium auto shop. Thus CAR Systems was founded in 1991 by Ray Coulson and John Lett with the mission to develop a simple to use but comprehensive auto management system

Ray retired from the company in March 2009.

The CARS software was developed using standard Windows commands in order that all users would be able to easily learn the system and quickly reap the benefits from using a computerized system.

As the various functions of the system were developed, they were immediately implemented at Coulson’s Automotive. This gave us an opportunity to test in an actual working environment and to enhance the system during the development cycle.

The resulting software, containing all the necessary modules to manage a service outlet, gives a perfect cost effective solution for the small to medium sized automotive business.

Today, CARS continues to evolve with the ever changing management needs of a modern automotive service outlet and has expanded to serve trucking and reefer companies.
